Hey Kayla,
You were in a class with me and were very nice to me. I was pretty skittish at the time at WMU. Being an older “non-traditional student” tends to wear on a fella. Not to mention I felt like the only smoker in the entire university. I would go outside to smoke and have people walk by looking at me like I was beating on a dog or something. Fortunately for me, it was less so at the art school. You were one of the first people to make an effort to talk to me there, which was a surprise as I had managed to go like a whole year without any significant exchanges while smoking outside.
The conversation was nothing out of the ordinary, basic bitching about professors, classes, and the general difficulties behind employment. But all the same, these were things we could commiserate about together in a cancer generating environment, and that was fine with me.
Aside from when you got your nose broken (and showed up to class like a trooper the next day) there haven’t been too many experiences I can recall. We have chatted on fb a few times, but it seemed like everytime I did that, you ended up either mad at me, or in general uninterested in the interaction. I can understand, I am lucky enough to be a guy and just about no one ever bugs me on chat.
All that being said this may well be the closing of our friendship, as I don’t really have another avenue in which to talk to you, but I think all has gone well so far so maybe there is a chance someday we will cross paths.
Today was a great day, but tomorrow our FBfriendship will end,
Curt
